THE PARAMOUNT HOTEL : VJF + INC has been awarded the total rebranding initiative for the Paramount Hotel in New York : Time Square. With the original vision of Ian Schrager and designed by Philippe Starck, this Classic New York Landmark has inspired the best of the best...it is truly an honor for me and my team be a part of this majestic project, which will remain true to its style and evolve with timelessness.
I just finished another amazing collaboration with designer/friend Robert McKinley at the newly renovated Paramount Hotel in New York City. The concept was to create graffiti inspired alphabet and numerical system that wrapped the entire base of the bar (roughly 300sq feet) as well as, hand write each title for over 400 black and white painted library books. Inspired by Steve McQueen, this brand provides slick looks and safety for everyday hero's and heroins...these super glossy retro dome-caps come in a multitude of styles and colors... so, all you Vespa jockeys can rock the freshest hat in town. The rebirth of the young, but legendary CAIN. New Look, New Vibe, same place. I had been working with Jamie, Rob and the CAIN crew since they opened their doors in October of '04 and fully support the evolution...we've developed the new branding as well as all you have seen in the past...Introducing the new CAIN LUXE.
Another new product I designed for AriZona Bev Co. An electrolyte infused Water using vapor distilled filtration. Basically the purest form of water and as natural as it can get, without drinking rain.

What a rush...MPIRE hits the big time! Driving down 42nd Street to see our artwork illuminating 55 feet tall. We showcased 8 pieces of art we did for AZ in the center of Times Square. 0n October 19th, 2007 our artwork flashed in front of millions of New Yorkers announcing the new drinkarizona.com website and tantalizing the taste buds of consumers with our graff inspired designs. As of October 10th , 2007 the official website of AriZona Bev. Co. is live. Check it out and let us know what you think. The site was designed, scripted and developed by the tireless Mpire Creative crew : Moon, Scott Buckets, Marvyn, Bill, Myself and team... BIG UP for all your efforts...thx Wes and everyone at AZ for giving us complete creative autonomy. Musical Jukebox featuring original beats from Scott Buckets, and original music from Skye Marona, This Blue Holiday, Laser Blade, Butter Versus, and Ginger Rose. Plus a spotlight feature of yours truly in the featured artists section. All the art was inspired by the beautiful packaging artwork and tweaked with a hint of urban funk.
After almost a year in the making, we are proud to announce the official lauch of the AriZona Bev. Co. website. drinkarizona.com is the spot. We've accumulated quite a scrap book of work; from sketches and layouts to pages or written words and scribbles repositioning their brand and voice. It has been a great trip so far...the AZ guys are the best to work with...they just get it! Big up to Wes, Don, Jim, John and John (you know who you are).
As of Tuesday Oct. 8th the world can now see what we've been up to.
Damn...it's been about 13 years between when I did my last production with DF Crew in Patterson NJ, 1994 (Fact One : Kaws : Sub : Gaze : Cycle : T-Dee : Jive : Emit). I think Kaws and I ventured off and copped some beans and rice from some little authentic Mexican joint. Anyway, Musica was one of my first pieces since then. It was part of the Goldbar Graff installation that I did back in January of 2007. I now have the ever growing itch to get back out there and spread my wings. Although family and day-to-day biz keep me bound to this effen machine.
As a spin off of the graff theme of the All City Cans and the NEW AriZona website (drinkarizona.com : not yet live) we are doing a series of apparel designs as well. The line consists of sweatshirts, trucker hats, tees, beaters (tanks) and more, even coolers. Stay tuned for more images.
This is another drink we collaborated with AriZona Bev। Co. and Pro Tennis Player Andy Roddick on. It is a vitamin infused sports drink (better for you than Gatorade). We launched the first flavor (Lemon-Lime) in conjunction with the 2007 US Open. The product hit the streets the first week in Sept. look for it. Also, aids well for hangovers : ) !
We worked with good friend and world renowned designer Rob McKinley (PM, CAIN, GOLDBAR) on the space and designed a graffiti installation that carried through out the entire space including the VIP DJ Booth, Foyer and all 5 bathrooms. All graffiti was done in Italian (worded by Marco La Villa who also developed the menu) and has gotten international recognition. A Spotlight centerfold article was published in Interior Design Magazine (March 07).
This is a series of limited edition graffiti inspired cans we designed with AriZona Bev Co. which will be in production within the next few weeks and distributed Nationally / Internationally by the end of Oct. 2007. We have been working with them on a series of projects...which I'll share later.
